A Modern Theater,
Reimagined.
Welcome to Chorus Theater, San Francisco’s modern, purpose-built theater located at 30 Otis Street — a bright new cornerstone of the city’s performing-arts landscape.
A Home for Dance and the Performing Arts
Chorus Theater serves as the home stage for City Ballet San Francisco (CBSF) and its associated dance programs, offering dancers and choreographers a modern, stable, long-term facility for rehearsals, classes, and public performances.
Beyond CBSF, we welcome other local artists, companies, and community groups — supporting a vibrant mix of artistic voices and ensuring the Theater remains a lively center of creativity in the heart of the city.
More Than a Theater — A Versatile Event Hub
Chorus Theater isn’t just for traditional performances. Its flexible layout and amenities — including fully retractable seating, lounge and reception areas, exhibit or F&B spaces, and high quality projector and screen — allow it to be transformed into a venue for corporate events, fundraisers, receptions, private celebrations, and creative gatherings.
Whether a seated performance for 224 or a standing reception for up to ~385 people, Chorus Theater adapts to your vision while offering full service support.
Connecting with the Community & Urban Life
Located on the ground floor of a mixed-use building, Chorus Theater is part of a broader vision of urban revitalization — combining culture, housing, and public space to reimagine the neighborhood as a place not just to pass through, but to live, gather, and belong.
Adjacent public plazas, a lobby cafe and bar, and shared amenities help make Chorus Theater a welcoming gateway — not only for theater-goers, but for neighbors, local artists, and everyday passersby.
